PSHCE and RSE
A happy child is a successful child. Through our PSHCE Curriculum we aim to give the children the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, happy, healthy and independent lives. We have focused PSHCE sessions covering topics such as Health and Well Being, Relationships and Living in the Wider World. School Values are learnt about in circle time and school assemblies.
We encourage our pupils to be active and involved in a variety of positive play activities during the lunch break and at playtimes.
Relationships Education is now a statutory duty as part of the PSHCE Curriculum at school. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/relationships-education-relationships-and-sex-education-rse-and-health-education
We have worked with staff, pupils and parents to put together our policy and support documents. We use the PSHCE Association for our planning supported by videos and plans form other books and websites. https://www.pshe-association.org.uk/
